The FBI report seems to suggest that his real name, or at least the name by which they refer to him by, is Lawrence Kaye (It states in the file they sent me, quote: Advised that Kaye uses the alias KANE.) I have his personal description also which is as follows:

Found one of my old posts, June 2011, from another forum, and I belive this is the correct person, the date of birth fit and the SSN is very close to the one WC provided, it is: SSN: 101-12-2950, so "50" at the end insted of "60"

Dahl was from Norway and came to the US in the 1920’s. He shows up on a 1930 census as being married and living with his in-laws. Wife Edna M. nee Heins. By the 1940 census it is just Dahl and his wife. Both censuses have him living in Orangetown, Rockland, New York. His occupation is floor finisher. In 1953 he and his wife show up in a Santa Barbara city directory. He is living at the Dahl Apartments, I’m assuming he is the owner. The 1972 Santa Barbara city directory says he is retired and he and his wife are at a different address than the apartments.

Today I received back extensive information on Kane from one of my many FOIA requests regarding him. The U.S D.O.J has sent me copies of his full and complete arrest sheet, along with much much more!

15 pages in all, and having had a brief once over, his arrest record lists each arrest under the name he was using at the time of arrest. He was arrested in numerous States, under numerous alias’s.
